The Quest for Financial Freedom:

Mia and Alex's Diverging Paths

Mia and Alex, two property investors, each had $100,000 to invest. Their goal? To make money without working for it and build up a collection of properties.

They had two choices:

First, a nice 1-bedroom apartment in Melbourne.

Or second, a Luxury resort in Thailand, looked after by Wyndham Hotels, a big name in the hotel world.

Alex wanted to have his investment close to home so he could keep an eye on it and picked the Melbourne apartment.

With Australia's history of properties gaining 6% value each year and giving a 5.24% return from rent, he thought he was onto a winner.

Seven years later, he made it to $214,996. Not bad, but he had to pay some extra costs like agent fees, body corp and insurance.

Mia, on the other hand, decided to invest in Wyndham Hotels expertise, knowing they are the largest hotel group in the world and know what they are doing.

The resort is located in Jom Tien and is called Nebu Luxury Residences.

Over the last 12 years Thailand had achieved an average 5.45% capital gain.

And, in addition to that, based on the returns from Wyndhams other hotels the rental yield was projected conservatively between 12-15% p.a NETT after all expenses.

All she had to do was cash the checks every three months.

Seven years later, Mia's decision paid off big time.

She ended up with $287,701 – that's $72,705 more than Alex, or an extra $10,386 every year.
